Personal Interests

Christianity & Fellowship
We are a family of re-born, Spirit-filled followers of Jesus Christ. We are not religious nor do we even subscribe to a specific church. Jesus has come as Saviour for all and His redemption work is sufficient. Get a clearer picture of what He did for you by clicking here.
 
Outdoor Living & Camping
We simply love being outside and we do some camping and hiking whenever the opportunity arises. Climbing a mountain or spending time at the coast is always a good way of recuperating from endless hours in front of the PC screen.
 
Art - Painting & Writing
Karen is the painter and Pieter is the writer. Karen likes to paint on linen, making cute cushions and other useful items while she also likes to make sand candles and other artefacts. Pieter likes writing, usually intellectul stuff intended to teach others Biblical principles.

Biographical Information

We are closely knit together and this mutual bond is reinforced by the love that we share for Jesus Christ. We do many things together. The picture is rounded off by a canine member with a wagging tail, always hopeful for another snack from the kitchen. He is a Labrador which entered our lives with great joy some 2 years ago, when we saved him for death at the kennels. We have moved to Kroonstad in 1993 when Pieter's previous employers transferred him here. Previously, we lived in the picturesque Western Cape Province, including a few years in Cape Town itself.

Ministry

We intend setting up a web-based ministry to cater for the scores of people, especially teenagers, which we meet on the Internet on a regular basis, calling for help. Mostly, we find that teenagers from "good Christian" homes many times have problems with personal issues such as family relationships, sexual behaviour and narcotics. Many times we have found that these young people have been involved in some questionable activity, have found salvation in Christ Jesus later on but then have fallen victim of a low self-esteem, self-pity, guilt and other negative emotions. These youngsters also complain about being neglected at home emotionally and they usually have no person to turn to. We would like to accommodate these young people as well as any others whom might be in need of prayer or counseling. Thus, we will strive to create a platform for discreet conversation and guidance from the Holy Spirit.
